At Elegon, we offer a comprehensive construction and maintenance service tailored specifically for schools, early years settings, and nurseries. We understand the importance of safe, well-maintained environments and take great care in looking after your buildings and grounds. We act as a one-stop solution, helping you keep your premises safe, compliant, and aligned with Environmental Health and safeguarding requirements.
Externally, we support everything from new fencing and playground repairs to weeding, jet washing and gardening works.
Internally, we carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks including decorating, electrical works, shelving installation, and bathroom repairs; to name a few.
Can you handle speciality trades?
Absolutely. Rest assured that anything you need at your education facility, we've got you covered. For example, we can service boilers and heating systems, have full electrical certificates, and are fully trained to work at height (such as flat roofs).
What makes your maintenance services unique for child care settings?
We create both indoor and outdoor environments that enhance learning and play experiences for children. For us, it's not just about building and fixing equipment; it's about engaging the children with the projects, showing them what we are doing, and getting them involved in helping too.
Do you charge for quoting?
We are happy to come out to your setting and provide a free of charge quote.
Can works be carried out outside normal operating hours?
Absolutely. We regularly work before and after school hours, during holidays, or at weekends to minimise disruption to children, staff, and learning activities.
Are your staff DBS checked?
As a family-run business, you can rest easy when working with us, knowing you’ll be taken care of. Working in settings like nurseries, schools, and early years settings, we take safety seriously - and that’s exactly why all of our employees undergo a full DBS check.

How do you handle safeguarding concerns?
All staff are trained to follow safeguarding procedures. Any concerns are reported immediately to the setting’s designated safeguarding lead in line with agreed protocols.
